The slides in this is module focus on biomarkers that have been shown to be related to different aspects of the clinical presentation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including symptoms (cough, sputum, breathlessness), pulmonary function (FEV₁), and risk for exacerbations. Also included in this module are the most recent results from the ECLIPSE study in which multiple experts from around the world are following patients to identify and validate biomarkers and surrogate endpoints in COPD.
